"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" 千里之行,始於足下-Laozi

Most of us reach a stage in our lives when we question ourselves:

“What is my dream?”

“What it is that I want to accomplish in my life?”

“Do I even have a dream? What do I do to achieve it?”

There are those who know exactly what they want to accomplish from day one; for some, the thinking process might only take about a day; and there are others who might take years, or maybe even their entire lives trying to figure it out.

When life was not going the way he expected, when he found himself asking all these questions, Andrew decided to take a walk, a very long walk… across America.

I interviewed Andrew when he came back to Milwaukee for a short visit last October. During my latest update with him (May 9th, 2015), Andrew told me he is currently working at a Waffle House in Alabama and plans to leave for California soon. He also mentioned his walk might take longer than a year as he still has about 4500 miles to go.

Here is Andrew’s story:

We all have our reasons to be on the road. In Andrew’s case, there are people supporting him, praising his bravery, there are also others who think his action is crazy and time wasting.

What are your thoughts on Andrew’s story? And what’s your purpose to be on the road?

Let me know what you think by replying on the comment box below! 🙂
